Discover the charm of Asheville, NC and the grandeur of the Biltmore Estate Mansion in our Asheville tour! In your bus trip to Asheville, your group will experience the lavish Biltmore Estate, America's largest privately owned home.  This trip package also includes the Biltmore's new Antler Village, a destination for shopping, dining, historical exhibits, and more.  Enjoy a scenic Blue Ridge Parkway tour, and a visit to the Folk Art Center, as well as experiencing downtown Asheville with it's famous for its Art Deco architecture. Your Asheville tour also includes the magnificent St. Lawrence Basilica, which is on the National Register of Historic Places   This trip is made just for you and has plenty of opportunities for fun and enjoyment.

 

Discover the wonders of Biltmore in Asheville. Begin with the breathtaking beauty of 250-room Biltmore Estate House — America's largest home. Your visit will include experiencing the Biltmore House and Gardens. Stroll acres of formal and informal gardens, including the Italian Garden as well as the ancient trees comprising America’s first managed forests. You will find Biltmore’s lush landscape amazing beautiful. The Antler Village and Winery is Biltmore’s new village that connects the estate’s present and past, providing a relaxing place for dining, shopping, and historical exhibits. The Biltmore Estate is a “must see” destination in America.

Day 1 (Breakfast) AAD Breakfast 'n GO!


Morning motorcoach departure from Elkins, WV (6:00am) (additional pick-up locations are possible) to begin a wonderful three-day tour that offers a unique experience in Asheville, NC and the Biltmore Estate. Lunch will be en-route and on your own (OYO).  Upon arrival in Asheville, we will check-in at our hotel, Hotel Indigo Asheville Downtown.  After settling into our hotel, we will visit the Basilica of St. Lawrence and spend the evening exploring downtown Asheville (dinner on your own). Completed in 1909, the Basilica of St. Lawrence is one of Asheville's architectural treasures and spiritual anchors. Designed by Rafael Gustavino and Richard Sharpe Smith, renowned architects on the Biltmore House, this Catholic church has the largest freestanding elliptical dome in the country.  After the basilica visit, explore Asheville's eclectic nightlife and see what makes Asheville unique!  Dinner is on your own (OYO) in downtown Asheville.

 


Day 2 (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)


A wonderful breakfast at the hotel is followed by our visit to Biltmore Estate.  George Vanderbilt's 250-room castle is America's largest home and the top attraction in Asheville.  In addition to touring the mansion, you will also have an opportunity to walk the grounds and gardens, tour the winery, visit Antler Village and take in the majesty of the Biltmore Estate.  We will spend the morning on a house tour and gift shop, have a group lunch at the Stable Cafe' (the estate's original horse stables) mid-day and conclude our day at the Biltmore with an estate self-exploration in the afternoon. Returning to Asheville, we will enjoy a group dinner at Pack's Tavern and then spend the remainder of the evening again exploring Asheville by night.

Day 3 (Breakfast/Lunch)

​

Another wonderful breakfast at the hotel (check-out) is followed by our departure back to West Virginia.  However, the trip is not over just yet. On the way out of town, we will visit the Folk Arts Center on the outskirts of Asheville.  A must-stop for art lovers, the center features the finest in traditional and contemporary craft of the Southern Appalachians.  Shop the wonderful Southern Highland Craft Guild store with a big variety of creations from hundreds of artists, browse rotating exhibitions in several galleries and watch an artist at work.  On our way home, we stop for a group lunch in Johnson City, Tennessee at the Firehouse Restaurant.  This eatery features some of the best BBQ in Tennessee!

  

Your return trip aboard the motorcoach takes in the beautiful scenery along the way, while you reminisce on three exceptional days of tour and travel to the Biltmore Estate and wonderful Asheville, NC!  A stop will be made for dinner on your own.  Estimated time of return is 9pm.

 

Includes round-trip motorcoach transportation from the Elkins, WV (other pick-up locations possible) 1 ticket to the Rock and Roll HOF, 1 ticket to A Christmas Story House/Museum, 1 ticket to the Pro Football HOF, 1-night accommodations at the Kimpton: Schofield Hotel  in Cleveland, 1 breakfast, 2 lunches (including cruise), 1 dinner and all taxes and fees.  Other meals are not included.

Trip cost based on a minimum of 45 participants.  All About Destinations reserves the right to cancel trip (with a full refund) if the minimum number of participants has not been reached within 10-5 days of the trip date.  Trip insurance available for additional cost.
